About Us

With the aim of providing quality health care services to the people of Nanganallur and its surrounding areas, the Hindu Mission Health Services (HMHS) was started. A group of socially-inclined people took it upon themselves to start the health care unit in a nearby school premises. All this was achieved with the blessings and guidance of His Holiness Shri Jayaendra Saraswathi Swamigal. On June 14, 1985, the HMHS commenced its services as a dispensary and was registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act in April 1986.
Evolution & Growth
The HMHS has been successfully running on non-profit basis, and today it is a full-fledged hospital in Nanganallur, with a built up area of 11,000 sqft. Believing that everyone is entitled to good health, the hospital aims to provide quality medical care at affordable rates to all sections of the society.
Current Scenario & Services
The hospital has been running successfully for more than three decades now. It has evolved into a complete medical care centre where the patients are getting treatment with care and compassion. The HMHS today is a multidisciplinary medical unit with AC, non-AC and general wards, surgical theatres, maternity ward, neonatal ward, intensive cardiac care unit, intensive medical care unit, well-equipped lab, x-ray and physiotherapy, Diabetic OP, Geriatric OP with a specially created a ambience for the relaxation of elders and special Silver Jubilee ID card for senior citizens, carrying certain special concessions etc. The HMHS has expertise in handling cases relating to cardiac ailments, nephro-related ailments, Diabetes, Oncology, Opthalmology, Dental care, Pediatric. Gynecology, Neurology, Urology, Dermatology, ENT, Chest, Orthopaedics, Plastic surgery, Laparoscopy, etc.
How it works
The hospital has a mission to serve the people and provide them medical care at rates that are nominal and affordable. As such it is sustained by donations and support from various institutions, organisations and indiuvals. For the patients it is a safe haven where they can be rest assured that they will be tended to. Most of the patients also become donors after getting treated and being part of this humane experience. It is an active way of helping your brethren.
